Project Description

The scope of works involves furnishing the necessary labour, materials, equipment and services for the expansion of Suam town water supply system, and consists of the following main elements: Intake works involving construction of a diversion weir, construction raw water intake chamber and all associated pipe work and fittings required for raw water abstraction from River Suam; supply, laying and commissioning of 9.9km of OD 110mm Upvc PN 16 raw water transmission mains including all associated fittings and ancillaries; construction of water treatment works consisting of construction of a sedimentation basin, construction of a reinforced concrete clear water storage tank of 165m3 effective capacity, supply, installation and commissioning of two FC210S Dayliff pressure sand filters which will be arranged in series with an output of 22.6m3/hr and accessories inclusive of all requisite site works; construction of a chlorine dosing house fully equipped with an Electrolytic Disinfection Machine, dosing equipment and all its accessories; supply, laying and commissioning of 10.2km of OD 110mm -40mm uPVC&HDPE PN 6 distribution mains including all associated fittings and ancillaries, construction of a guard house, construction of an ecosan toilet, construction of a water office equipped with basic furniture and IT equipment; extension of single phase electric power to the treatment works site, supply of a potable water quality testing kit and a motor cycle for the water office; construction of a public waterborne toilet; making of 150 private service connections and construction of 3 public stand posts
