Scope of contract Two (2) production wells. 02 pump stations to be fitted with submersible pumps. 01 office block. 8200m of OD90mm HDPE PN16 transmissions mains from sources 1 and 2 to Reservoir tank. 11km of distribution mains(2500m OD110mm, 2000m OD90mm, 2500m OD75mm, 4000m OD63, all to PN10 HDPE). 01-04Stance water borne public toilet. 01 Reservoir tank of 100m³. Water kiosks (2No.). Service connections (200 No.). Support to institutional sanitation (2No. @ 5Stance) and construction of house hold ECOSAN toilets (7No.) for demonstration purposes. Catchment protection at the sources. Grid Power connection to both sources as main source and Perkins Engine Generator as standby source in one of the sources. Supply of tools and equipment for operation and maintenance. Chlorination Unit.

Remarks The works were expected to be substantially complete by 30th September, 2014, however delays have been experienced due to land wrangles making it not possible to hand over the pump station works to the contractor and still remains the main works pending. Service connections and reservoir installation is the other key pending works. Request for extension received from the contractor and is being evaluated to fully complete the entire project; test-running will be conducted during the defects liability period in the presence of the operator.
