Scope of contract Two (2) production wells yielding 18m³/hr. (DWD 31172) near Purongo p/s and DWD 31171, 10m³/hr. near town Centre to be fitted with submersible pumps. 01 pumping station. 01 Office block. 2700m of OD110mm and OD75mm HDPE PN16 transmissions mains from sources 1 and 2 to Reservoir tank. 06km of distribution mains(1500m OD110mm, 1000m OD90mm, 1500m OD75mm, 2000m OD63, all to PN10 HDPE). 01-04 4Stance water borne public toilet. 01 Reservoir tank of 100m³. Water kiosks (2No.). Service connections (200 No.). Support to institutional sanitation (2No. @ 5Stance) and construction of house hold ECOSAN toilets (7No.) for demonstration purposes. Catchment protection at the sources. Installation of Perkins Engine Generator as standby source. Supply of tools and equipment for operation and maintenance. Chlorination Unit.

Remarks The works are expected to be substantially complete by 30th September, 2014, delays were experienced due to land issues for public toilet site but now resolved, this is coupled with slow response for service connections from the community. The other components that will be at finishing stages are the institutional toilets and kiosks to fully complete all the components. Test-running will be conducted during the defects liability period in the presence of the operator
